University Clinical, Education & Research Associates Signs with CHMB for Revenue Optimization

San Diego, Calif., February 22, 2016 – CHMB, a leading provider of revenue cycle management services, today announced that University Clinical, Education & Research Associates (UCERA), the faculty practice organization supporting the prestigious University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM), has signed a partnership agreement for shared revenue cycle management services.

Located in the heart of Honolulu, UCERA works closely with over 140 faculty providers of JABSOM to advance their mission to improve the health of the citizens of Hawaii and the Pacific, by supporting the research, education, and scholarly development of the institution and by providing resources to recruit and retain qualified faculty. UCERA also strives to work with hospitals and government agencies to generate revenue opportunities for JABSOM. Poised for immediate growth and expansion, but limited to a small local labor pool, UCERA identified a partnership opportunity with EPIC-experienced CHMB.

UCERA will partner with CHMB to optimize revenue opportunities through the enhancement of their CBO to focus closely on the needs of the institution. CHMB will collaborate resources to augment UCERA’s existing billing and RCM staff by sharing their expertise and best practices. Through CHMB’s LYNK shared revenue cycle management services, UCERA and CHMB will work together to improve KPI’s, enhance workflows, improve clean claim rates and ensure compliance in their practices. CHMB’s CURVE Analytics will support UCERA’s efforts by presenting visibility into their practice through detailed reporting and dashboards. “By partnering with CHMB, I am confident that we will see further tremendous growth and revenue opportunities for JABSOM,” said Dr. Roy Magnusson, CEO of UCERA, and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, Chief Medical Officer at JABSOM. “Optimizing revenue is key for us in our efforts to support such a distinguished organization such as JABSOM. Having a partner well-versed in EPIC and RCM best practices is essential to us for continuous growth.”
